Water is essential to all of our lives. In Africa, the water is so filthy, you would hesitate to wash your hands in it, let alone drink it. Eighty percent of deaths in developing countries are caused by water-born illnesses. Most people in Rwanda have no access to clean water leading to health conditions.
What if we could do something about this injustice happening on the other side of the world? By identifying a specific need and working together, the Church could provide thousands of Rwandan people with clean water and cute the rate of illness in half. Already over 70,000 lives have been saved because of their access to clean water.
The Church of Champions is partnering with the Rwanda Clean Water Project and the Fermi Project to dig a well in Rwanda. The cost of each well is $3000 and it is our desire to dig ten wells in 2008. If you would like to donate toward digging these wells, please designate your contribution as "Clean Water Project" when you give.
